As posted in my Multiply Account (March 12, 2007). Will import some of my old music reviews here.
They always make me proud...their music is really great! The new album...love the new feel especially with the first two tracks! I love the use of trumpets in those songs. It gives out a jazzy feel. I also like "So Far Away"...the senti song. Hehe! Love the use of the choir in "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover"..are those kids? I dunno. Also love their version of "Umagang Kay Ganda" and of course, for Pinoy pride "Tatsulok" is still a significant song for the present times. I also have LSS with "Englishman in New York"...ehem...love the way Bamboo sang it. Also the intervals...that was sooooo long but it was worth it.
I also like the second disc for the fact that this shows how important each member of the band is. I will never ask them to minus Ira or Nathan anymore! But they should have added "Minus Bamboo" tracks so that we can have karaoke versions of the songs. LOL! But the worst part of that disc is the "Minus Vic" section. Hearing the loud cowbell (or whatever that was) was annoying. Don't minus Vic anymore! I love them all anyway!
This is an album I'll bring anywhere I go no matter how far...
